In this vital role, you will support medical providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks in clinical settings for pain management. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service, all while working within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently and accurately. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked for smooth clinical operations. Support providers during procedures such as X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols in outpatient or inpatient settings. Manage administrative responsibilities including appointment scheduling, insurance prior authorizations, sending of medical orders and prescriptions, and maintaining detailed documentation of patient interactions. Assist with specimen collection, processing laboratory tests, and supporting providers during patient exams. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a welcoming environment across diverse specialties like geriatrics, internal medicine, and pain managment. Experience Prior experience working in pain medicine, neurology, or orthopedic clinics is highly preferred. Demonstrated familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology to ensure precise recordkeeping. Experience supporting clinical injection procedures, or intrathecal pain pumps is advantageous. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and running prior authorization enhances your ability to excel in this role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to medical assistance beneficial. Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate versatility and commitment to comprehensive patient care.
