Lead Pediatric Medical Assistant (Full-Time | VFC Coordinator | Clinical Lead)

Full-Time Join Our Growing Pediatric Team An established and growing outpatient pediatric practice is seeking an experienced Lead Pediatric Medical Assistant to serve as a clinical leader within our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled pediatric MA who is passionate about patient care, enjoys mentoring team members, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Lead Pediatric Medical Assistant will play a critical role in supporting providers, overseeing daily clinical operations, maintaining vaccine program compliance, and ensuring an exceptional experience for patients and families. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of recent pediatric medical assistant experience required Experience must be primarily in an outpatient pediatric clinic or pediatric healthcare setting Strong knowledge of pediatric clinical workflows, patient care, and pediatric triage Experience administering pediatric immunizations and vaccines Experience with EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient-centered care Applications without substantial pediatric medical assistant experience will not be considered. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Lead Medical Assistant, Clinical Lead, or Supervisor Vaccines for Children (VFC) Coordinator experience Vaccine ordering, inventory management, and storage experience Experience training, coaching, and mentoring clinical staff Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Key Responsibilities Room patients for well-child visits, sick visits, follow-up appointments, and sports physicals Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and clinical information Administer pediatric vaccines and immunizations according to protocol Perform telephone and in-office pediatric triage Assist providers with procedures, treatments, and patient care coordination Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Process referrals, prior authorizations, forms, and clinical paperwork Leadership & Clinical Operations Serve as the Lead Medical Assistant and clinical resource for the MA team Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff members Support clinic efficiency, patient flow, and operational excellence Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and workflow standards Collaborate with providers and leadership to improve patient care and office operations Help foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture VFC Program & Vaccine Management Serve as VFC Coordinator and ensure ongoing compliance with program requirements Manage vaccine ordering, inventory, storage, and documentation Monitor vaccine usage and expiration dates Ensure compliance with state and federal vaccine regulations Maintain vaccine logs, temperature monitoring, and audit readiness The ideal candidate is: Passionate about pediatrics and caring for children An experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant with strong clinical skills A natural leader who enjoys supporting and developing team members Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a busy outpatient pediatric practice Skilled at building positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers Focused on delivering excellent patient care and customer service Why Join Us?
