The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures and protocols, particularly in internal medicine and emergency medicine settings. The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit. Duties Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Administer basic life support as needed and assist with X-Ray procedures. Support healthcare providers during examinations by providing necessary tools and information. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting. Participate in the management of medical-surgical patients, ensuring all care protocols are followed. Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Uphold hygiene standards and maintain a clean working environment. Experience Previous experience in an internal medicine or emergency medicine setting is preferred. Familiarity with working in an inpatient environment, especially within a Level II Trauma Center, is highly desirable. Proficiency in patient care practices, including knowledge of basic life support techniques. Experience with clinic operations and understanding of medical terminology is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare staff.
