We are looking for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, comfortable working directly with patients, and genuinely cares about creating an exceptional patient experience. This role is not just about rooming patients and taking vitals. We want someone who understands that every interaction matters and that small acts of kindness, follow-through, and attention to detail can make a major difference in how patients feel about their care. The right candidate will be professional, dependable, compassionate, and willing to take that extra step to help patients feel cared for, supported, and respected. About the Role The Medical Assistant will support both clinical patient care and patient follow-up. This includes rooming patients, taking accurate vitals, updating medical information, assisting with in-office testing, drawing blood when needed, and helping ensure patients receive thoughtful follow-up after visits and procedures. This position requires someone who can balance clinical accuracy with warmth and strong communication. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who takes pride in doing things correctly, notices details, follows through, and treats patients with genuine care. Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for visits with the provider Take and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, height, weight, and other required measurements Review and update patient medical history, medications, allergies, pharmacy information, and reason for visit Perform EKGs and other in-office testing as needed Draw blood and assist with lab-related tasks, if trained and authorized Assist the provider during exams, procedures, and patient visits as needed Prepare patients for in-office procedures or testing Help provide clear instructions to patients before and after visits or procedures Call patients after procedures to check in and see how they are feeling Report any concerning symptoms, abnormal vitals, patient questions, or clinical concerns to the provider or appropriate team member Help identify patients who may need follow-up appointments based on results, provider instructions, or office follow-up lists Assist with scheduling follow-up visits, testing, or other appointments when needed Document patient communication, updates, and clinical information clearly and accurately Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms before and after patient visits Maintain clinical supplies and help ensure equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use Follow all office protocols, HIPAA/privacy guidelines, infection control standards, and safety procedures Communicate with patients in a kind, professional, and reassuring manner Support the front office and care coordination team when clinical input or patient follow-up is needed We are looking for someone who is: Kind, compassionate, and genuinely patient-centered Experienced and confident in Medical Assistant responsibilities Detail-oriented and accurate with vitals, documentation, and patient information Comfortable taking manual and automatic blood pressures Comfortable performing EKGs Experienced with or willing and able to perform blood draws Professional, dependable, and punctual Warm and friendly with patients Calm and helpful when patients have questions or concerns Able to communicate clearly with patients, providers, and team members Organized and able to follow office processes carefully Willing to take initiative and follow through without constant reminders Able to recognize when something needs to be escalated to the provider or clinical team Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic computer systems Willing to take that extra step to make patients feel cared for, supported, and respected Required Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following: Medical Assistant certification with prior Medical Assistant experience OR Four-year degree with prior Medical Assistant experience Additional requirements: Prior Medical Assistant or clinical office experience required Phlebotomy experience required or strongly preferred Experience taking accurate vitals required Experience performing EKGs preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Strong communication and patient service skills required Ability to maintain patient confidentiality required Preferred Qualifications Cardiology experience Experience in a specialty medical office Experience with procedure preparation or post-procedure follow-up calls Experience with EMR systems Experience working with older adults or patients with chronic conditions Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who understands that excellent patient care is both clinical and personal. We want someone who can take an accurate blood pressure, document carefully, and follow clinical protocols, while also making patients feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. A strong candidate will notice small details, communicate kindly, and look for ways to make the patient experience better instead of only completing the minimum required tasks. Schedule Part-time or full-time may be considered depending on experience and availability. In-office position. Pay $20
  • 25 per hour, depending on experience, certification, and qualifications.
