In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations within outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient interaction, and healthcare documentation will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills across diverse medical specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate medical records. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist clinicians in assessing patient health. Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and assist providers during patient examinations or procedures. Administer medications or injections under supervision, following proper protocols for medication administration. Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines or other imaging tools as needed for patient assessment. Document patient interactions accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical history updates. Support hospital-based teams by assisting with inpatient care, ICU (PICU), or trauma center procedures when required. Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or processing for pathology testing. Ensure compliance with safety standards by maintaining infection control protocols and managing emergency response procedures like Basic Life Support (BLS). Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or hospital settings to facilitate seamless patient care delivery. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately support clinical activities. Experience working in dermatology, urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital environments including Level I or Level II trauma centers. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, specimen collection, medication administration, and X-ray operation confidently. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings. Familiarity with ICD coding practices for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with inpatient and outpatient workflows preferred. Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and internal medicine practices to support comprehensive patient care. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments or hospital units like Geriatrics or OR (Operating Room). Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients about treatment plans.
