Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations for a surgical practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, administrative support, and assisting healthcare providers in delivering efficient and effective medical services. Experience in hospital settings, clinic settings or surgery clinics a plus. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols within a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Manage Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters Support patient service activities by answering questions, providing education on treatment plans Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure sterilization of equipment according to protocols Adhere to safety standards including Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols and infection control procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Ability to perform clinical duties including vital signs measurement, intake assessments Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across diverse populations including Geriatrics Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments Hospital experience or clinic experience in internal medicine or outpatient care is highly desirable
Position Details:
Full Time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday Requires travel between offices This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient health outcomes while working within a dynamic healthcare environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in patient care.
Pay:
$19.50 - $22.00 per hour
