Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated MA to join our team who will be able to help with both front desk operations as well as patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in both basic MA duties as well as front desk operations, pain management medical terminology, and patient service. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks is a plus but not required. We have a busy and thriving new pain management practice in NW Peoria. The location is close to the 101 for easy commuting. We have a great family atmosphere and care for our patients deeply so only like-minded individuals apply. Must thrive in fast-paced environments. Competitive salary with health benefits. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries politely
  • Maintain electronic health records using designated software
  • Verify insurance information and process payments
  • Coordinate with medical staff for patient care needs
  • Chart prep for the physician
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable and share in the housekeeping duties of the clinic with the other staff members as needed
  • Be familiar with running insurance eligibility
  • Be able to triage incoming phone calls to the practice and make appropriate phone notes in the EMR in order to help maintain flow with the team.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a reliable and responsible employee
  • Knowledge of pain management medical terminology and administrative procedures
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, or other medical software systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. MUST be friendly and outgoing! You are the face of the practice.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
