This vital role involves providing comprehensive support across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical procedures, patient care, and administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient appointments. Support physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound dressing, and basic life support procedures. Operate diagnostic tools including X-ray machines when required, adhering to safety protocols. Facilitate patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up care instructions. Support administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and insurance verification. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Experience Prior experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated familiarity with dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or trauma center operations is advantageous. Experience supporting inpatient or outpatient procedures in Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances candidacy. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Associates is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or specialized clinical areas are a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures is essential. Excellent communication skills for delivering patient service that is respectful, clear, and compassionate.
