Job Title :
Medical Assistant Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting medical providers, and supporting the administrative functions of our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both clinical and administrative tasks, a compassionate nature, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel to other locations
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Support :
Perform routine medical procedures such as taking patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse), drawing blood, and administering injections. Prepare and educate patients for medical procedures, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. Maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use. Monitor patient progress and update medical records accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Administrative Duties :
Manage patient appointment scheduling, ensuring a smooth patient flow and minimal wait times. Handle phone inquiries, triage calls, and provide guidance to patients about medical concerns or office policies. Verify patient insurance information, process billing, and submit claims to insurance providers. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Interpret for the clinical staff when necessary, "Spanish/English".
Compliance & Documentation :
Ensure all patient documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Stay informed on the latest medical practices, certifications, and regulatory compliance requirements. Ensure the practice meets all OSHA and safety standards.
Qualifications :
Education :
High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent training is required.
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or healthcare setting. Proven experience in both clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vitals, drawing blood, and performing basic lab tests.
Skills :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
