In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional patient service while supporting clinical staff with essential medical tasks. Your proactive approach, combined with your knowledge of medical procedures and administrative support, will help ensure our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation; document accurately in EHR systems Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and assisting with procedures in outpatient settings Support clinical staff with tasks including specimen collection, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Assist with intake processes for various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or emergency medicine; ensure proper documentation of patient information Manage phone calls efficiently by answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing clear instructions to patients Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment; ensure all medical supplies are stocked and equipment like X-ray or ultrasound devices are prepared for use Support inpatient units or hospital medicine teams by assisting with patient care activities in hospital settings or Level I/II trauma centers Requirements Prior experience in clinic settings or hospital environments, preferably with dermatology, urgent care, or medical-surgical specialties Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and basic pharmacology Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray operation or OR experience are a plus Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical administrative support tasks including intake and appointment scheduling Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) patients Ability to work effectively in outpatient or inpatient settings within Level I trauma centers or emergency medicine environments Hospital experience involving medication administration or Level II trauma center procedures is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
