Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing and insurance claims
- Educate patients on self-care techniques and provide instructions for medication or treatment plans
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and electronic health records systems
- Competency in performing basic life support techniques
- Experience with inhalation therapy or respiratory treatments is a plus
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs measurements
