Medical Assistant Ca Pediatric & Adolescent Care Anaheim, CA Job Details Part-time $18.00 - $29.33 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications BLS Certification Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced medical environment while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently and accurately Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process Support clinical staff with tasks such as medication administration Manage medical documentation including ICD coding Support hospital medicine units, emergency departments, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics clinics, and medical-surgical wards by providing patient service support and ensuring smooth workflow Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for medication administration and infection control Experience Prior experience working in dermatology clinics or hospital medicine settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and inpatient/outpatient care workflows Experience with EHR systems used for documentation across diverse medical specialties such as internal medicine or geriatrics Familiarity with ICD coding processes for accurate billing and insurance claims processing Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) environments is advantageous Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to various specialties including PICU or medical-surgical units Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma centers are a plus Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding patient care across multiple healthcare settings.
