  • Candidate must be willing to float to the Los Angeles location on occasion to support call-outs or staffing shortages

Required Qualifications:
  • HSD/GED
  • Flu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC only)
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history
  • 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
  • Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
  • Experience with
CS-Link/Epic Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years working as an MA in Orthopedics
  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
  • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Understanding of medical terminology
Job Duties:
  • Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
  • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
  • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
  • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
  • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
  • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
