The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support in a rapidly expanding outpatient clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Perform intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs. Administer medications and immunization as directed by physicians and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure proper documentation of patient information. Perform diagnostic tests on patients as required. Log refrigerator and freezer temperatures at the beginning and end of the shift Order vaccines and other medications. Keep an accurate log of vaccines on hand and the administered vaccines. Eager to learn clinic protocols and procedures. Utilize knowledge of ICD coding for accurate billing and record-keeping. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within healthcare settings such as clinics or hospitals. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, vaccines, and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy towards diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
