In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist with medical procedures across diverse specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support when necessary Support physicians and nurses with procedures in outpatient, inpatient, emergency medicine, or specialized units like PICU or Geriatrics Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical records efficiently Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care to promote understanding and compliance Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for procedures in various settings including OR experience or Level I/II trauma centers when applicable Support administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and assisting with medical billing processes Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; certification must be current Proven experience working in clinical settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics Knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and care delivery Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding standards, and EHR systems for accurate documentation Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration support, X-ray assistance, and basic life support certification (BLS) required Experience working in inpatient environments or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics (PICU experience is a plus) Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced settings such as emergency medicine or medical-surgical units Join us in making a difference by providing top-quality patient care while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
