This vital role involves providing comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical procedures, administrative support, and clinical workflows, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, and basic X-ray operations. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems by documenting patient information precisely and maintaining confidentiality. Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure accurate billing and record keeping. Support hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics with necessary clinical tasks. Assist with specimen collection, laboratory tests, and basic physiology assessments. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards in various settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Geriatrics units. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare teams. Skills Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures confidently. Experience with medication administration and handling of medical supplies. Knowledge of hospital experience including Level II trauma centers or Level I trauma centers is advantageous. Competence in performing X-ray procedures or assisting in the operating room (OR) environment is a plus. Excellent patient service skills with a professional demeanor and effective communication abilities. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings such as emergency departments or PICU environments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy and compliance.
