We will pay you between $24-$28/hr depending your experience. The candidate will provide high- quality and accessible health care to the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay area. The candidate will support our physician by performing administrative and clinic duties. The Ideal candidate will be professional/courteous, detail oriented, able to multi-task, a team player, and have good time management, organizational, computer and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Responsibilities:
1.
Front Desk Tasks:
Welcome patients warmly, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Efficiently handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate documentation. Update and input patient demographics, insurance and pharmacy information. Look up and enter patient copays, outstanding balances, and eligibility before appointments. Verify insurance information, process payments, and generate invoices. Triage all incoming calls and walk-in patients, confirming and scheduling appointments. Answer patient questions in person and over the phone, providing excellent customer service. Handle patient and physician requests promptly, prioritizing urgent goals. 2.
Patient Care:
Take precise measurements of patients' vital signs with appropriate documentation. Identify, prepare, and administer various office procedures such as skin prick tests, spirometry, peak flow, and subcutaneous injections followed by the necessary documentation Adhere to proper sterilization and safety protocols when handling medical equipment and administering injections under supervision. Assist clinicians with care and treatment of the patient and monitor the physicians' in-boxes such as prescription requests, prior authorization requests, results and communication from other Physicians, pharmacies, and clinics. Obtain authorizations for procedures, medications, and referrals from PCP Filing charts and fax queues in timely manner Update and manage patient medical records in compliance with privacy regulations. Handle difficult situations with courtesy and professionalism, seeking guidance when needed. 3.
Other Billing and Administrative Tasks:
Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes. Verify insurance benefits and eligibility, familiarizing oneself with various insurances. Prepare and maintain inventory of all front / back-office supplies Assists in all Medical Records and subpoena requests Perform administrative tasks, complete appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms Other duties may be assigned. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate is required
  • Familiar with medical terminology and Epic Electronic Health Records
  • 2+ years' experience in medical industry preferred
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Bilingual is Cantonese/Mandarin a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong work prioritization skills essential.
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with and demonstrates a caring attitude toward patients and family.
  • Treats all patients and their families with dignity and respect.
  • Current certification in BLS/CPR is preferred but not required
