Position Overview This role is primarily front office with some back office responsibilities. Prior experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments Answer and manage phone calls in a professional manner Check in and check out patients Calculate and collect co-pays and co-insurances Clean and prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments (including autoclave use) Obtain insurance verification, eligibility, and benefits Process prior authorizations for procedures, referrals, and imaging (radiographs, etc.) Qualifications Medical Assistant certification (preferred but not required) Strong computer skills and comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Ability to quickly learn new software and navigate digital workflows Strong interest in patient care and healthcare Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a small team setting Professional demeanor with a compassionate bedside manner What We're Looking For Highly motivated and dependable Tech-savvy and detail-oriented Quick learner with strong organizational skills Comfortable working closely with both patients and physician Team player with a positive attitude Why Join Us Friendly, easygoing, and supportive team environment Low-stress workflow compared to large clinics or hospitals Close collaboration with physician in a small practice setting Opportunity to learn and grow in a surgical subspecialty Compensation & Benefits $20-25/hour (depending on experience) + raise every 6 months + twice yearly bonuses benefits include PTO and paid holidays off How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief introduction about your interest in the role.
