Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering Immunizations, patient care, medical billing and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment.

Duties:

• Must be PUNCTUAL, and

RELIABLE

• Must know how to administer vaccines/Immunizations
• Must have prior experience working as an Medical Assistant/or Phlebotomist, other than Externship. Must be experience, basically.
• SPANISH Preferred
• Perform vital sign measurements and record patient information accurately
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Administer injections, medications, and inhalation treatments as directed
• Provide exceptional patient care and support in a clinic setting
• Provide patient education on procedures, follow-ups and medication instructions
• MUST perform front office duties including appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification and medical record management, patient referrals
• MUST ensure exam rooms are clean, trash removed from bins, equipment and supplies are clean and ready for patient use
• MUST collect specimens as ordered by physician
• MUST assist in prescription refills and calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy
• MUST maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• MUST manage patient flow and communicate delays to patients and physician
• MUST make sure work area is clean
• MUST make sure patient restrooms are cleaned and restocked
• MUST make phone calls to patients for appointments

Experience:

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions
