We provide board-certified specialty care in the San Francisco bay area for all types of acute and chronic pain related conditions. We rely on a sophisticated combination of interventional procedures and wellness-based integrative techniques to insure that patients ultimately are able to experience the maximum amount of long-term pain relief and maximal daily function. All of our doctors are double board certified and have trained at Harvard, Stanford, and the Mayo Clinic. Our team is looking for energetic, upbeat, hard-working people with a patient first attitude. Pain Medicine Consultants is pioneering new approaches to addressing pain, including meditation therapy and IV infusion therapy, in addition to using the most advanced interventional techniques currently available. Our doctors are a great combination of energy and experience who emphasize patient quality of life. Working at PMC is demanding and rewarding. The ideal candidate must have an excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, enjoy multi-tasking and staying organized, be flexible, and understand the importance of a positive, courteous and a professional attitude in the workplace. Great attention to detail and clear communication skills are essential. This position requires enhanced customer service and communication skills.
Essential Functions:
Speaks clearly and concisely in person and on the telephone. Answers and addresses all incoming calls to the practice efficiently and professionally. Interacts with callers creating lasting positive impressions. Schedules, cancels and confirms existing patient appointments, new patient appointments, and procedure appointments. Appropriately facilitates and communicates, written or verbal, effectively with patients, physicians, and all levels of team members associated with the organization as well as outside organizations. Reviews and updates patient information for existing and new patients, including but not limited to demographic information, insurance information, referral information, etc. Returns voicemails. Navigates between various computer programs concurrently. Conducts oneself and job responsibilities in a professional manner in accordance with company's mission statement, policies, procedures and values, task specific protocols, and applicable state/federal laws. Room patients, record vitals, and document patient medical conditions. Prep exam rooms for clinical procedures and assist Physician with patient care. Assist Physician during routine visits, outpatient procedures, and other physical exams. Assists in other administrative tasks as assigned.Experience:
Prefer medical front and back office experience and call center experience. Medical Assisting Certificate.Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of clinic operating policies. Basic knowledge of computer systems, programs, and spreadsheet applications. Basic knowledge of appointment scheduling. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Basic knowledge of medical insurances; PPO, HMO, Worker Compensation, and Medicare.Skills:
Skill in oral and written communication. Accuracy and attention to detail. Skill in time management and organization. Skill in multi-tasking and prioritizing.Abilities:

Ability to document accurately and concisely. Ability to perform while under stress. Must possess sufficient dexterity to perform the essential responsibilities. Ability to take direction.
