This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine. You will be the backbone of our outpatient and inpatient services, providing essential administrative and clinical support to deliver exceptional patient experiences. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing patient health through efficient back-office procedures. Duties Assist with patient intake processes by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support ongoing patient assessments. Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations, including dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or surgical procedures. Support clinical procedures such as X-ray imaging, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (BLS) protocols. Manage documentation related to ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for accurate billing and record keeping. Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and ensuring timely flow of information. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards in outpatient, inpatient, or trauma center settings. Qualifications Proven experience in medical administrative support within hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical-surgical procedures relevant to diverse specialties such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or Level I/II trauma centers. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and data entry; experience with ICD coding is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma care are a plus. Strong understanding of intake procedures, vital signs measurement, medication administration protocols, and hospital experience across various settings including Geriatrics or Medical-surgical units. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital units.
