This vital role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows across various medical specialties. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in outpatient and inpatient settings, with expertise in dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and urgent care environments. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support clinical procedures such as medication administration. Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and detailed patient notes Perform routine laboratory tasks like specimen collection and processing, as well as assisting with in-room diagnostics in outpatient or inpatient settings Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure sterile techniques are followed during procedures Provide exemplary patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointment scheduling, and facilitating efficient clinic flow Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital environments with exposure to psychiatry, internal medicine, geriatrics, or surgical settings Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as X-ray or OR experience are a plus Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in documenting patient encounters accurately Experience with blood draws, venipuncture, and lab procedures preferred. Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, primary care, or outpatient clinic settings preferred. Arabic-speaking ability preferred. Strong communication and patient-care skills. Ability to work respectfully with patients from immigrant, refugee, Middle Eastern, Arabic-speaking, and multicultural communities. Strong attention to detail and documentation. Ability to work closely with Nurse Practitioners, therapists, case managers, and administrative staff. Professional, reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
