Job Description

Experienced Medical Assistant - Cardiovascular Practice Job Summary Language Skills (Preferred) Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is highly desirable to better serve our diverse patient population. Our growing cardiovascular practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support our team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, experience working in a specialty practice, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, height, and weight. Document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist providers with pre-procedure preparation, patient education, consent documentation, and post-procedure instructions. Perform and document EKGs/ECGs and other diagnostic tests as directed. Prepare patients for cardiac testing, including stress tests, Holter monitor placement, and event monitor setup.. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and specialist appointments. Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies under provider direction. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. Medical Assistant experience; cardiology/vascular experience preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification. Proficiency with EMR systems and medical terminology. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or vascular medicine. Knowledge of cardiac medications and cardiovascular disease management. Experience with Holter monitors, event monitors, stress testing, and cardiac patient education. Skills EKG/ECG performance and interpretation support Cardiac testing preparation and monitoring Patient assessment and vital signs Medication reconciliation EMR documentation Patient education and care coordination Insurance authorizations and referrals Excellent customer service and communication

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Experience:
2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required; cardiology experience preferred
