ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:
Neighborhood Healthcare is excited to offer a full-time externship opportunity for Medical Assistant students currently enrolled in a medical assistant program with one of our partnership schools. This experience is designed to give you hands-on exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a Medical Assistant in a community healthcare setting. This externship is an excellent opportunity to apply the skills you've learned in the classroom while supporting real patients under the guidance of experienced healthcare professional
RESPONSIBILITIES
Externs will primarily support back office tasks, such as: Rooming patients Taking vital signs Administering injections (as applicable) Assisting with procedures Updating electronic health records (EHR) Supporting patient care coordination with the clinical team Please note: This externship is focused on clinical (back office) experience and does not include front office duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled a Medical Assistant program at one of our partnership schools Available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a full-time externship Professional, dependable, and eager to learn in a clinical setting Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Benefits of the
