Job Description

Overview Medical Assistant Dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant with strong clinical and administrative skills, experienced in supporting healthcare providers and delivering high-quality patient care. Proficient in taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining accurate medical records, and assisting with clinical procedures. Known for excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced medical environments. Committed to patient safety, confidentiality, and providing a positive healthcare experience. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR systems) by documenting patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment details efficiently. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring a positive experience at every visit. Experience Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology to support clinical functions effectively. Proficiency with EHR systems and ICD coding ensures accurate documentation and billing processes. High school diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (preferred) Certification as a Medical Assistant Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology Ability to take and record vital signs accurately Experience with patient intake, charting, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
