Compensation is competitive and based on knowledge, experience, and performance. We are currently hiring for a Full-Time Back Office Ophthalmic Technician in our fast-paced, patient-focused practice. Position Overview As a Back Office Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Obtain patient medical histories Measure visual acuity Perform lensometry, IOP testing, corneal topography, OCT, A-scan, and visual field testing Accurately document exam findings while assisting physicians (scribing) Assist patients with contact lens training Administer ophthalmic drops as directed Assist physicians with minor in-office procedures Submit and document prescriptions Maintain, clean, and stock exam rooms and instruments Return and respond to patient phone calls Provide front desk support as needed, including answering phones and scheduling appointments Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Highly organized and dependable Quick learner with strong attention to detail Professional, positive demeanor Excellent communication skills Bilingual in English and Spanish EMR or similar computer system experience Compassionate, personable, and empathetic toward patients Self-motivated with a commitment to exceptional customer service
Preferred:
One (1) year of Ophthalmic Technician experience COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) certification Experience with NextGen EMR Comprehensive Benefits Package We believe in taking care of our team just as well as we care for our patients.
