Job Description

Glendale Surgical Center, located in Glendale, CA i s seeking a motivated Front Desk / Medical Assistant - PRN to join our team. Glendale Surgical Center is a multi-specialty and fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. This center specializes in Orthopedics and Pain Management. We have 1 Operating Room and 2 procedure rooms. What You Will Do (Job Summary):
Key Duties Include:
Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner O perates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call. Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter Assist with Admissions. Check in PreOp patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with PreOp nursing staff. Check patients out when discharged. Schedule office visits and procedures for new and existing patients Collect patient responsibility as determined by tie Insurance Verifier. Prepare patients for examination, take vitals and record patient health history Assist with c hart preparation, filing, scanning Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required. Other duties as assigned Monday - Friday daytime hours The starting pay range is $24.00- $28.00/hour, depending on experience.
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or Nurse Assistant training program
  • Patient care experience
  • Medical office experience
