Job Description

Overview The Pediatric Medical Assistant supports pediatric healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks in a child-focused medical setting. The role helps ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience for children and their families. We are committed to fostering a lively, supportive environment that values your skills and encourages professional growth. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and basic patient information Prepare exam rooms and assist during examinations or procedures Perform basic tests (e.g., vision screening, hearing checks, rapid strep tests, finger pricks) Administer vaccines under provider supervision Collect and label lab specimens Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Administrative Duties Schedule patient appointments Check patients in/out and verify insurance information Communicate instructions to families (e.g., medication prep, follow-up care) Manage phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries Qualifications Experience in pediatrics or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) is required Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately Patience, empathy, and a friendly demeanor Ability to perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, medication/vaccine administration, vital signs monitoring, and assisting in outpatient procedures.
