We are seeking a part-time or full-time optometric assistant to join our warm and friendly private practice, Beachside Optometry. We are a family owned and operated practice located in Huntington Beach for nearly 30 years. Our doctors value our staff members, and we compensate our team well. We believe in exemplary service and thus offer only the highest quality optometric products and technology. Our office is looking for a person who is compassionate, enthusiastic, and people-oriented. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake processes Schedule appointments and verify insurance eligibility Take detailed case histories and operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient encounters and update records Conduct optometric diagnostic procedures including the Autorefractor, Ocular Response Analyzer, Visual Field, and OPTOS Retinal Imaging Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies Requirements No experience necessary, but prior experience in a medical or optometric office is preferred
PRE-MED AND GAP YEAR APPLICANTS WELCOME
Good communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and proficient in multi-tasking Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations. Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation
