POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support a busy Dermatology clinic. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care, clinical procedures, specimen collection, and administrative duties while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Assist providers with dermatological treatments, procedures, and patient care activities. Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols. Perform back-office clinical duties, including patient intake and documentation. Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment readiness. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions as directed by providers. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and organizational policies. Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Medical Assistant (MA) certification required. Previous ambulatory/outpatient clinic experience preferred. Experience with specimen collection preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and documentation practices. GA01
