Medical Assistant | Day | Weekly Pay

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (Outpatient) to join a busy outpatient referral center for an 8-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with both Epic and Cerner electronic medical record systems and be comfortable supporting providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical procedures. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals. Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records. Support patient intake, discharge, and follow-up processes. Perform routine non-invasive clinical procedures within scope of practice. Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and organizational policies. Collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff.

Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Certifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience:

Recent outpatient Medical Assistant experience required. Recent hands-on experience with Epic and Cerner EMR systems required. Strong documentation and patient communication skills.

Pay:

$28.00 - $31.00 per hour
