Duties Perform patient intake procedures by collecting comprehensive medical histories and accurately recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary equipment and ensuring patient comfort. Support clinical operations by administering medications as directed, including injections and medication management within scope of practice. Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient information, treatment plans, ICD coding for diagnoses, and procedural details with precision. Conduct basic diagnostic tests such as X-rays or other imaging procedures when required, supporting physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient flow in outpatient or inpatient settings, including scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and facilitating smooth patient transitions between departments like ICU or PICU. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for infection control and emergency response procedures in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical practices to support accurate patient assessment and documentation. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations in outpatient or inpatient environments.
