Full Job Description Summary:
The IV & Wellness Lounge is looking for a Full-Time (to begin at part-time until fully trained) reliable, proactive, positive, and self-reliant Medical Assistant/Office Manager, who is eager to thrive in a growing Functional Medicine clinic. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic and has experience in medical assisting/office management. We are looking for someone with attention to detail and the ability to multitask to maintain a organized workflow for staff and clients. You will be required to perform administrative duties, schedule and educate clients, streamline workflow procedures, prepare and maintain office cleanness, tracking/ordering inventory supplies, and assist the Nurse Practitioner.Duties:
Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Collect patient forms and information. Registers and updates patient data accurately in the EHR systems. Maintains positive patient relations and communications. Assures timeliness of services rendered to patients. Clearly informs patients of the services and products. Listens to and addresses patient complaints regarding services rendered. Demonstrates proper triage techniques when handling phone calls and inquiries from patients. (making sure patient meets requirements to receive services) Accurately manages the filling records, telephone messages, and prescription refill information in electronic medical records. Checks inventory stock; discards expired medication appropriately and reorders as needed. Escorts patients to infusion rooms. Ensure patients comfort while on premises by answering questions, offering water, blankets, etc. Remains available to assist the provider as needed. Responsible for inventory, supply ordering, and general facility maintenance. Maintains and updates required logs accurately. Calls in prescriptions or prescription refills as directed by the provider. Maintains patient care areas and daily cleaning of all common areas. Consistent enforcement of patient confidentiality standards. Reports equipment or supply needs to provider. Reports malfunctioning equipment promptly. Maintains general office and medical equipment, including copiers, computers, printers, and emergency supplies. Perform administrative duties such as employee scheduling, staff communication, etc. Perform blood draws and vitamin injections under NP supervision. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Comfortable working in a wellness, holistic, or alternative healthcare setting Medical Assistant Certification (Required) High School diploma or equivalent (Required) Fluent in English (Required) 1 - 2 years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred) Additional language skills (Preferred)Medical Assistant:
2 years (Preferred) EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Experience with Practice Better or Boulevard systems (Preferred) Phlebotomist Certificate (Preferred)Reports To:
Owner and Nurse Practioner Hours Required:
4 to 5 shifts a week 10am to 6pm on weekdays, 10am to 4:30pm on weekends. Some weekend shifts are required each month. Starts in June.Pay:
