Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate documentation and smooth check-in processes Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature to support clinical assessments Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care, X-ray procedures, and basic life support when needed Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating medical histories, and coding diagnoses using ICD codes Support hospital medicine and outpatient clinics by coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork Handle medical administrative support tasks such as answering phones, scheduling follow-ups, managing referrals, and maintaining accurate medical records Requirements Prior experience working in medical settings such as hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or urgent care centers is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to accurately assist in patient documentation and billing processes Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to respond effectively during emergencies Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing digital patient records is essential Ability to perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, and supporting X-ray or other diagnostic procedures Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments is a plus Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence across diverse populations including geriatrics and inpatient units Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings such as hospital medicine or medical-surgical units This position is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in healthcare.
