Day Shift, 5x8 Hours Hours may vary between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PM with some flexibility.
Job Summary:
UCLA Health is seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to join its Surgical Pathology team. In this role, you will assist with specimen grossing, frozen sections, specimen photography, and other pathology support duties in a leading academic medical center.
Responsibilities:
Gross and examine surgical pathology specimens Describe and document specimens accurately Photograph specimens as needed Assist with frozen section procedures Maintain pathology records and reports Follow laboratory quality and safety standards Support department operations as needed
Requirements Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Pathologists' Assistant experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Health Sciences, or a related field
Program Requirement:
Completion of a
NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program Certification:
PA(ASCP) Certified OR Eligible for PA(ASCP) certification and able to obtain certification
