Our office is closed weekends and all major holidays. This position will have 24+ hours a week. Hours vary and are based on patient load. This position allows may also include vacation coverage for Tuesday and Thursday shifts. This position may eventually turn into full-time. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8-5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires current Medical Assistant certification/license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Performs other duties as required. Demonstrates excellent patient care and communication skills. Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock.
