Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers across various medical specialties. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with accuracy and professionalism Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor treatments, including medication administration when appropriate Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, update medical histories, and manage appointment schedules Support clinical tasks such as specimen collection, basic X-ray imaging, and assisting with in-office diagnostics like ICD coding and anatomy assessments Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within outpatient or hospital settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) certification is essential Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and hospital experience including Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable Ability to handle diverse patient populations across specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, or surgical clinics Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service in fast-paced environments like urgent care or hospital medicine units Experience working in inpatient settings such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics wards or Medical-Surgical units is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform intake assessments, vital sign collection, and assist with X-ray procedures confidently Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or OR experience are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient lives while advancing your career in healthcare!
