Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant with experience as O.R. Surgical Assistant or desire to learn to join our Cosmetic Surgery Practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our cosmetic surgeon and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative duties, with experience or willingness to learn scrub tech/surgical assisting. It is essential for the Medical Assistant/Scrub tech to be adaptable and efficient in a fast-paced environment and be able to stand for several hours. Duties We can train you as needed. Assist the surgeon with patient consultations and surgical procedures, preferably with experience in an OR setting or desire to learn. Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and documenting relevant information. Pre and post operative care (training provided) Maintain accurate patient records, including medical terminology and documentation of treatments. (training provided) Support the surgeon in various capacities, including operating room assistance. Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, patient financing, charting, patient forms, ordering supplies. working in the OR, assisting in surgical procedures and learning inventory and instrument cleaning. May assist with digital marketing, news letters, social media posts Skills Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology.. Experience with surgical assisting in cosmetic surgery. Familiarity with operating room procedures is a plus. Ability to administer medications accurately and safely. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from the surgeon while maintaining patient confidentiality. Scrub tech experience and/or willingness to learn. Able to assist with digital marketing, news letters, social media posts. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent patient care, interested in working in a surgical setting while contributing to the overall efficiency of our in-office AAAHC accredited surgery center in Newport Beach.
