In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient service will contribute to delivering high-quality care in fast-paced environments such as urgent care, dermatology clinics, or hospital units. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy, medication administration, and X-ray assistance when applicable. Support clinical staff with tasks such as ICD coding, physiology assessments, and basic pharmacology knowledge to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment. Manage medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized patient records. Provide compassionate patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support hospital medicine or outpatient clinics with tasks like specimen collection, vital sign monitoring, and assisting during emergency medicine or trauma center cases. Maintain compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and hospital experience requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse clinical settings. Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and ICD coding for accurate documentation. Proficiency in performing phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and X-ray assistance when needed. Familiarity with hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics care units. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Ability to work efficiently in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings like medical-surgical units or internal medicine departments. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and inpatient experience to support urgent care or trauma-related cases. This role is ideal for motivated Medical Assistants eager to expand their expertise across various specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or geriatrics.
