MEDICAL ASSISTANT A

high volume, dynamic cardiology office is search of a crucial member of our team as a medical assistant where you will have the opportunity to assist the cardiologists in procedures, perform vital diagnostic tests, and provide compassionate support to our patients throughout their cardiovascular journeys. Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to) Patient intake; measuring and recording vitals signs. Vital signs, add patient medication and update medical history. Cleaning examination rooms and preparing them for the next patient visit. Replenishing exam room supplies as needed. Call in prescriptions or prescription refills under the direction of the provider. Perform EKG's, INR checks. Obtain and scan patient records into EMR. Collect copayments, account balances. Obtain patient information. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports. Verify Insurance and Authorizations (knowledgeable of deductibles and coinsurances). Schedule and confirm appointments. Submit Patient Referrals to Health plans/ IPA. Qualifications Must be able to work as a team player in a positive work environment Minimum 1 years experience as Medical Assistant Ability to perform an EKG Customer service with a positive and friendly attitude Proficiency in EMR systems and excellent computer skills required eClinicalworks (ECW) EHR experience a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume patient environment Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service-oriented Excellent communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Fluent in
