Medical Assistant Mohs Lead

Position Overview Dynasty Dermatology is seeking a highly motivated, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position supports our providers across Mohs Micrographic Surgery, General Dermatology, and Cosmetic Dermatology services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining efficient clinic operations. Medical Assistants serve as an integral part of the patient experience by assisting providers, supporting procedures, educating patients, and ensuring smooth daily workflows. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesClinical Patient Care Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and chief complaints. Record and document vital signs and patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Assist providers during general dermatology, surgical, and cosmetic procedures. Prepare patients for examinations, biopsies, excisions, Mohs surgery, cosmetic consultations, and aesthetic treatments. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, wound care, and post-procedure instructions. Obtain and document informed consent when appropriate. Mohs Surgery Responsibilities Prepare surgical rooms and maintain sterile fields. Assist with Mohs Micrographic Surgery procedures and surgical flow. Set up and break down procedure rooms before and after surgery. Prepare instruments and surgical supplies. Perform dressing changes and provide detailed wound care instructions. Monitor patients throughout surgical visits and assist with patient comfort and safety. General Dermatology Responsibilities Assist with biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, injections, patch testing, and other dermatologic procedures. Process specimens and ensure accurate labeling and documentation. Prepare pathology requisitions and coordinate laboratory submissions. Assist with prior authorizations, prescription management, and patient follow-up as needed. Cosmetic Dermatology Responsibilities Assist with cosmetic consultations and aesthetic procedures. Prepare treatment rooms for injectables, laser procedures, microneedling, body contouring, and skincare treatments. Capture standardized before-and-after photographs. Educate patients on skincare products, treatment plans, and post-treatment instructions. Support inventory management of cosmetic products and supplies. Operational Responsibilities Maintain exam rooms, procedure rooms, and treatment areas in accordance with infection control standards. Ensure adequate stocking of medical supplies, surgical instruments, and treatment products. Assist with inventory management and supply ordering. Support clinic flow to maximize provider efficiency and patient satisfaction. Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in team meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a dermatology, surgical, or specialty practice. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation. Preferred Dermatology experience. Mohs Surgery experience. Cosmetic Dermatology experience. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification. Experience with dermatologic surgical procedures and sterile technique. Experience with photography documentation and aesthetic treatments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of dermatologic diseases, treatments, and procedures. Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical assisting principles. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment. Exceptional patient service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professional appearance and demeanor. Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to assist patients and move equipment when necessary. Pay:

$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
