Los Angeles, CA Job Summary The Medical Assistant (OBGYN
  • Outpatient Clinic) supports physicians and clinical staff in a high-volume women's health setting.
The MA is responsible for direct patient care, assisting with OBGYN procedures, specimen collection, venipuncture, and supporting clinic workflow. This role requires strong hands-on clinical skills, particularly in reproductive health procedures, along with excellent communication and patient care abilities. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP Accredited Program required. Current BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required. Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic Medical Assistant experience required. Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience required. Proficiency in venipuncture and blood/lab draws required. Strong experience assisting with OBGYN procedures required: Pap Smear (PAP) Colposcopy (Colpo) LEEP procedures D&C assistance Endometrial Biopsy (EMB) IUD insertion and removal Nexplanon insertion/removal NST (Non-Stress Test) Responsibilities Assist physicians during OBGYN examinations and procedures. Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens. Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile technique as required. Support patient intake, vital signs, and clinical documentation. Assist with women's health procedures including PAPs, IUDs, and biopsies. Provide patient education and procedural instructions. Ensure proper charting and documentation in EMR systems. Maintain clinic flow and assist with scheduling as needed. Float between assigned clinic locations when required. Follow infection control and patient safety protocols. For more details reach at
