Job Description

We are a busy physical therapy practice located in the beautiful foothill community of Placerville, CA, seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join our team. Job Brief The physical therapy aide/office assistant I reports to the managing director and owner. The right candidate will need to display excellent communication and customer service skills, remain calm and perform well under pressure and/or stressful situations, and have a friendly and energetic personality.
Responsibilities Physical Therapy Aide:
Under the supervision of the physical therapists, the physical therapy aide performs modalities, and assists patients with their exercise programs. They are also in charge of keeping the gym and treatment rooms clean, stocked and orderly.
Office Assistant I:
Under the supervision of the managing director, the office assistant I is required to communicate in a professional and friendly manner while providing excellent customer service. As the first point of contact, the office assistant will be expected to warmly greet and check patients in and out. They will maintain a clean and organized environment while assisting in scheduling appointments and ensuring intake forms are properly filled out and all insurance documentation is collected. The office assistant will follow up with referring physicians to obtain physical therapy prescriptions, insurance and/ or Workers Compensation authorizations and confirm patient insurance benefits. They will answer phones, scan/copy/or fax documents, sort incoming mail, and maintain patient charts through our current EMR Progam. The office assistant must be a self-starter and look for opportunities to jump in and assist others.
Requirements:
Medical Office experience preferred Proven work experience (References Preferred) Ability to use computer programs such as Word and Excel, and quickly learn medical record software and the ability to handle medical records discreetly Ability to multi-task Reliable and prompt to each scheduled shift Willingness to learn hands on Able to be flexible to work front or back office as needed
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
