ParkTree Community Health Center provides comprehensive and integrative medical, dental, and behavioral health services to the local community in the Pomona and Ontario areas. We are looking for energetic and professional Medical Assistants to join our team on a Full-Time basis and Part-Time basis .
Responsibilities include:
  • Complies with all mandatory trainings.
  • Perform direct patient care within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
  • Accurately take medical history, vitals, and document patient complaints.
  • Assist provider as needed during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and other provider instructions to patients.
  • Provide translation services as needed.
  • Keep rooms stocked, clean and neat at all times.
  • Administer vaccines
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and consistently adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Operate electrocardiogram (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine screening tests.
  • Give intra-dermal and intramuscular injections and inhalation treatments under the close supervision of a licensed practitioner.
  • Collect blood and other specimens then log and route them for testing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Treat all patients and colleagues with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Must have MA certification or diploma. Certification preferred.
  • Must possess current CPR card.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
