Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following duties. Duties Taking patient medical histories. Recording vital signs. Preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Assisting with procedures and performing EKGs. Educating patients on medications and treatment plans. Scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar. Answering phones Greeting and checking in patients when needed Updating and maintaining patient records. Handling insurance verification and billing when needed Ordering supplies. Filing and organizing documents. Maintaining a clean environment. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Eclinicalworks Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical charts Collaborate with physicians to optimize workflow efficiency Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and systems
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eclinicalworks
- Understanding of procedures and cardiology knowledge is advantageous
REQUIREMENTS
:- 1 year of medical office experience.
- Certified M.A. preferred with High School Diploma.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
