Job Description

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable Medical Practice to find their next Medical Assistant. This position is a full-time, regular role based in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
Medical Assistant Compensation:
$18 - $20 Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2 Company perks!
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Greet patients, take vital signs, and record medical history accurately Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and process specimens as directed Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and update patient records in the EMR Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain cleanliness, stock medical supplies, and follow infection control protocols Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
