Redding Pain Medicine is hiring a full time Medical Assistant to join our family oriented specialty practice in Redding, CA. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced MA who wants a four day work week, hands on training, solid benefits, bonus potential, and the chance to support meaningful patient care in a respected pain management practice. Our team helps patients who are dealing with chronic pain by supporting accurate diagnosis, thoughtful treatment plans, and a high level of service. In this role, you will assist providers with patient rooming and procedures, take and record vital signs, keep charts current, help with chart prep, prepare and clean exam rooms, respond to messages, and help maintain smooth daily patient flow. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail oriented, professional, comfortable with technology, and able to work well with a busy clinical team. Room patients and prepare them for their visits Assist providers during procedures Take and accurately record vital signs Complete chart prep before patient visits Keep patient charts up to date, including medication and medical history Request prior authorizations for medications when needed Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms Respond to clinical and patient messages Complete assigned tasks promptly and thoroughly Help maintain smooth patient flow in a busy clinical environment Support the team in providing excellent service to patients WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office or clinical setting Clinical experience and knowledge of medical terminology Strong customer service skills Clear and professional communication Attention to detail Reliability and good follow through Ability to learn quickly Ability to use computers, software, and EHR systems effectively A team player who helps others and works well with providers and staff Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision A calm, professional manner with patients SCHEDULE
