Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting clinical staff with essential clinical tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values proactive communication, thoroughness, and compassion. Whether managing administrative duties or assisting with clinical procedures, your contributions will help ensure smooth clinic workflows and positive patient experiences. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collect patient histories, update medical records, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate documentation. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; record findings accurately for provider review. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks. Manage appointment scheduling, confirm upcoming visits, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and clarity. Skills Strong knowledge of mental health terminology, and basic patient care practices. Experience working in outpatient mental and behavioral health clinics. Proficiency with EHR systems for accurate data entry and documentation; understanding of ICD coding for diagnoses is advantageous. Ability to perform clinical duties such as intake assessments. Excellent patient service skills—empathetic communication, active listening, and professionalism—ensuring a positive experience for every individual. Knowledge of psychiatric and mental health environments. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
