JOB SUMMARY
Advanced Medical Assistants fill a crucial support role for clinicians and physicians by coordinating prescribed patient care through various administrative and clinical duties. Working under a physician or clinician direction, Advanced Medical Assistants are an integral part of orchestrating their treatment plan while also simultaneously advocating patient compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Spearhead all care coordination efforts prescribed by physicians
  • Route orders appropriately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
  • Accurately document care coordination efforts in medical record
  • Orchestrate physician schedule through booking in-office visits, phone calls, outpatient testing, and inpatient procedures, or other as directed by physician or management.
  • Optimize patient awareness or instructions with clear oral and written communication
  • Liaise with other physicians, offices, or departments to fulfill patient and physician needs
  • Streamline physicians day-to-day through optimal workflows (i.e. chart prep)
  • Notify patients and appropriate personnel about schedule, location, or room changes, etc.
  • Field daily calls and messages (MHO) from patient's
  • Demonstrate prompt resolution to all inbasket tasks assigned
  • Uphold professionalism and adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Input data into the EPIC system: scanning, data entry, recording demographics, routing results and messages appropriately and timely
  • Organize and prioritize work to support production goals
  • Acts in association with all leads, managers, staff and physicians to provide professional patient care during examinations and consultations for all patients, even outside your assigned physician
  • Help the overall flow of patients throughout the day when necessary, including rooming patients, taking vitals, performing EKG's,
  • Maintain a clean environment
