Medical Assistant - Front and Back Office Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in both front and back office roles. You will work directly with a psychiatrist and be responsible for a variety of administrative and patient care tasks. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the health center. Responsibilities Work directly for a psychiatrist. Handle patient check-ins and scheduling appointments. Prepare charts and make confirmation calls. Essential Skills Experience as a medical assistant. Proficiency in handling charts and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Knowledge of medical terminology and behavioral health. Experience with patient care coordination. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma. Familiarity with NextGen EMR software. Work Environment The position is based at the Alhambra Health Center, an immediate care facility with multiple specialties. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some rotating weekends and the possibility of shifts extending from 8am to 8pm. The dress code requires plain scrubs. There is an opportunity for career advancement into leadership roles, as demonstrated by previous Medical Assistants who have progressed to Supervisory positions. The center values punctuality and regular attendance. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $50000.00/yr. all benefits are on the email and website Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Sacramento,CA.
